Our Story

Juneteenth commemorates the day the last enslaved African Americans in the United States were finally informed of their freedom, marking a powerful moment of liberation, truth, and long-awaited justice.

 

But Juneteenth is more than a historical date. It is a living celebration of freedom, resilience, and the strength of a people who have continued to rise, create, and lead through generations of struggle and triumph. It is a reminder of how far we have come and how much further we are still called to go.​

Our story is rooted in community, culture, and connection. We celebrate Black excellence through music, art, food, and storytelling that honors history and uplifts present voices.
